"I have always been drawn to the grippingly visceral nature of Randall’s work, his very organic, intuitive sense for interesting approaches to playing and producing sound on instruments, as well as his sense of humor that is expressed in his music, especially through his frequent choice of naming pieces with memorably disorienting, nonsensical or tongue-in-cheek titles." - Roberto Granados
I am drawn to the visceral and gripping aspects of composition. I find the really emotive and powerful voices to be the most moving and have the most lasting impression on my consciousness. This strong emotion can be found in most if not all art forms. my work is influenced by a variety of music genres and disciplines including metal, medieval and renaissance music, contemporary classical music, experimental jazz, noise, progressive, flamenco, fusion, folk music, Indian music, Persian drumming, folklore, mythology, art, philosophy, and experimental art forms.
